Misted Double Glazing

Misted or fogged‑up double glazing is one of the most common signs that a window’s sealed unit has failed. If you can see moisture, haze or condensation between the panes of glass, it means the airtight seal that keeps the unit insulated has broken down allowing damp air to get inside. No only is it unsightly but it means the thermal performance of the window has been severely compromised.

Can It Be Fixed?

The good news is that in many cases the glazing unit can be carefully removed / replaced with a replacement.

Should You Replace the Glass?

If the window frame and fit is still good functioning order - Absolutely.

However, it can also mean that the window is simply reaching then end of the useful working life. If you see any of these additional signs it may be far cheaper in the long run to just change it outright.
