Glass Masterclass

Glass makes up the largest part of any window or door, so the quality of your glazing has a huge impact on how your home feels and performs. That’s why we only use A+ rated glazing as standard, giving you outstanding efficiency, comfort and clarity from day one. In this section, we’ll walk you through the key choices homeowners need to consider in their project.

What’s In The Glass?

Modern glazing is more than just “a piece of glass.” It’s a carefully engineered system designed to keep your home warmer, quieter and more secure.

Glass Panes
Each pane is a sheet of toughened, laminated, or coated glass. The more panes you have, the better the insulation and noise reduction.

Spacer Bar
A sealed frame that separates each pane and creates the cavity between them. High‑quality warm‑edge spacers reduce heat loss and help prevent condensation.

Insulating Gas
The gap between the panes is filled with inert gas which slows heat transfer, helping your home stay warmer for less energy. We only install argon gas which is vastly superior to cheaper air filled methods.

Sealed Unit Edge
A permanent airtight seal around the unit that keeps moisture out and gas in, protecting performance over the long term.

Double vs Triple Glazing

Whilst Double glazing is still a great product, Triple Glazing is simply performs better in all the key areas at an additional cost.

Pane Types & Performance Upgrades

Once you’ve chosen between Double or Triple Glazing, the next step is selecting the right pane type to fine‑tune performance for your home. Each option enhances comfort in a different way.
